“Good health starts with good circulation… no orange cones please!”

Michel Côté

I agreed to take on the role of spokesperson for the Quebec Society of Vascular Sciences because I strongly believe à in prevention. At 68, I’m still in great shape and I want to spread the word about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle in order to keep your arteries in good working order!

I encourage you to make a donation that will help provide better tools for healthcare professionals, patients with vascular diseases or who are at risk for them, their families, and, who knows, maybe even yourself one day. I also encourage you to talk to the people around you. The more information we share about the vascular system, the quicker we can identify concrete solutions to improve our collective health.

Thank you in advance for your generosity!

For a healthy circulation, from head to toes

Our veins and arteries are fundamental to our wellbeing, forming a complex circulatory system that, when it malfunctions, can have disastrous effects on important internal organs such as the heart, brain, kidneys and lungs, as well as on our legs.

If you were to take all the blood vessels in a human adult and lay them out end to end, they would stretch for nearly 100,000 kilometres – more than twice the earth’s circumference!

Good blood circulation is, therefore, vital. Diseases that affect our circulation can be life-threatening. While medical science has made great strides in disease detection, prevention is still the best protection.

Education and prevention, at the heart of the solution

The QSVS believes that education and prevention can greatly improve patient health. We have been working for 20 years to promote prevention in the field of vascular health.
